The Summer Day Camp is an eight-week
program that serves as a safe haven for inner city youth (ages
6-18), to learn, play
and
grow. The day camp uses both our Youth Embassy and Real Life
Learning Center buildings. The Day Camp operates Monday through
Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The innovative curriculum
of our Summer Day Camp challenges youth to increase their
Intelligence, Intensity and Integrity through Character Development
and Life
Skills, Rap Sessions,
Bible studies, basketball and other sports clinics, computer
and game room activities, arts and crafts,
employment skills training and summer jobs program. Youth
are
segregated into age appropriate groups for character development,
life skills, recreational and educational programming. Breakfast,
lunch and an afternoon snack are provided to every child.
The Summer Day Camp also incorporates several field trips and
community
service projects.
