Each year Joy of Jesus reaches out to 100 needy families and provides a Thanksgiving meal with a turkey and all the fixings. We also work with Here’s Life Inner City (the urban ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ) and up to 25 other inner city churches and community organizations to package up to 2,000 Thanksgiving meals for Detroit needy families. This is used as an opportunity to reach out and witness through Word and deed the good news of Jesus Christ. Each of the churches and community organizations distribute their share of these meals and the gospel to families in need. Your time and treasure are needed to keep this outreach on track. Each Christmas we participate in the “A Gift for All God’s Children” program. Depending on level of support, 300 to 400 needy youth are blessed with Christmas gifts from their personal wish list. In addition, gift baskets are provided to the parent(s) or guardian(s). The entire family attends an afternoon of fun, entertainment, food and a special presentation from the Word of God. This outreach needs support. Your time and treasure could be used in this special way to sincerely bless families in need at a special time of the year.
