Detroit Free Press Marathon
Joy of Jesus participated in this year's marathon on October 23. Thanks to everyone for your support and prayers.

After-School Jam
The After-School Jam started September 12, 2005. There are already 60 students registered. Youth are encouraged to participate in activities. Our youth went to see a live illustrated sermon at Greater Grace Temple entitled To Hell and Back on October 26. The youth came out with a different perspective after seeing the sermon.

Summer Camp
This year's summer camp theme was "Armor of God." The youth learned how to put on their armor and stand in spite of their challenges. 317 youth attended our Residential Camp. Many enjoyed fishing, canoeing, water trampoline, and many other activities. The program ran June 17 through August 19, 2005.

The youth expressed the love they shared and experienced at camp, as well as all the fun activities, songs, and games that were played. Dominique said, "I never thought I could catch a fish!"

Summer Day Camp
Summer Day Camp had 125 youth in attendance every week, Monday through Friday. Youth were involved in community service and had the opportunity to attend field trips like the Detroit Shocks game.

Joy of Jesus hosted a Thanksgiving event, blessing 100 needy families with Thanksgiving meals and the message of Jesus Christ. Twenty-three of the participants accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and 18 rededicated their lives to the Lord. Due to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to bless an additional 92 families with turkeys and meals in the days following the event. A special thank you goes out to those supporters, especially Christ the King Church in Oxford, Michigan and Bloomfield Hills Baptist Church for their support of these events.
